In conjunction with the 2nd annual LIFE HAPPENS OUTSIDE FESTIVAL Gritty’s is happy to host the “Teens to Trails” Benefit at our Freeport brew pub on August 17th from 4:30 to 7 pm. We’re raising money to create additional High School outings clubs in Maine. Teens To Trails is an outdoor nonprofit organization located in Brunswick, ME, that provides resources, training, programming, and financial assistance to support High School outing clubs. Our goal is to EDUCATE youth, teens and families on how and where to get outside, ENGAGE with our communities to encourage more time spent outdoors and INSPIRE the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts and stewards.  Gritty’s is contributing 50¢ from each pint sold to the cause. There will also be other fund raising activities and a lot of fun! It all takes place in Gritty’s backyard (weather permitting). So stop by!

Watch the balloons from Gritty’s deck!
The best place in town to watch the Hot Air Balloons in the Great Falls Balloon Festival is from Gritty’s deck.  It’s an uplifting experience! The 25th Annual Great Falls Balloon Festival will be held August 17-19.

Gritty’s is proud to sponsor the last run this season in the “Triple Crown 5K” series: the Bridge Run on Sunday, August 26 at 8:30 a.m. Register at the Rollodrome, 12 Riverside Drive in Auburn.
