The Gritty’s Bike Team was the 10th highest fund raising team in the American Lung Association of Maine’s 2009 “Trek Across Maine”!
The team raised $16,490, just behind Fiddler’s Greens our friends from Belfast! Gritty’s also sponsored the band that played at the Colby College stop on the Trek. The Gritty Bike Team was also the 7th largest team in the trek with over 30 members, of which 27 of them rode in the Trek. Three members of the Gritty’s Bike Team made the “Winner’s Circle” meaning they each raised over $1000.

July Fourth – Gritty’s is the place to be at the Liberty Festival!
Come to Gritty’s during the Liberty Festival to see “Maybe Utah” play live on the patio and to have the best seat in the house to see the Liberty Festival Fireworks. Maybe Utah takes the stage at 5pm, playing a few sets until 9pm; then they stop so everybody can watch the fireworks. The band returns for an encore immediately following the fireworks. Great food, live music, the best Gritty’s beer – what a way to celebrate your independence!

Gritty’s has been named the “Official Beer” of the Dempsey Challenge.
Coming in October, the Dempsey Challenge is fundraising experience for the “Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing” located in Lewiston. This event is several cycling events, a run / walk and more! Gritty’s has been named the official beer of the event and we’re proud to be a part of the Dempsey Challenge. We’re planning a contest to enter to win a bike jersey signed by Patrick Dempsey and even a special beer in honor of the Challenge. Stay tuned for more details!
