    In 2005 Gritty’s newest location opened on the banks of the Androscoggin River in Lewiston/Auburn. Our Auburn brew pub is a warm and welcoming space in the classic Gritty style; long tavern tables, copper bar top and traditional brick work. The spacious deck features the best riverfront views in town, and our glass-enclosed, storefront brewery brings the working of a true pub brewery right to Main Street. And of course, our kitchen serves up the finest in traditional pub fare.

  • Gritty’s is proud to be one of the hosts of the 2nd Annual Tackle Child Abuse Superbowl Event.
  • Gritty’s is offering $10 pitchers of our ales, 50¢ wings and Pizza of the day special for $7.99 during this pre-game event! Children’s Advocacy Center will be doing a 50/50 Raffle and more!  This annual fundraiser helps us to jointly raise awareness of the epidemic of child abuse while simultaneously providing a forum for us to raise funds that ultimately support our mission to promote the healing of victims of child sexual abuse by providing a strong community response to investigation, treatment and prevention of abuse.

    Wake & Bake Cold Coffee Porter is coming to Gritty’s Auburn during February.
    This fan favorite is a classic Porter, cold brewed with coffee. Hopped with Warrior, Cluster, WGV and US Goldings, then finished with Maine roasted coffee. It comes in around 5.8% ABV. Nice drink’n, with a coffee kick…

    Rye Oh My!
    A Rye India Pale Ale is on tap at Gritty’s in Auburn now . This style of beer has a strong hoppy character comparable to the India Pale Ale. The Rye India Pale Ale is a beer style that uses malted rye grains in the mash ingredients. The addition of rye adds a tangy or spicy character to the beer. We don’t know the ABV yet, but look for this beer to go on tap.

    Scottish Ale comes out just as winter really gets roaring!
    Scottish Ale returns in late December to help you weather the season. Gritty’s Scottish Ale is our interpretation of the robust brews native to Scotland. Generous quantities of Pale malt along with Munich and Caramalts give this ale a deep and complex profile. A few shades darker than our Bitter, with a rich, slightly sweet first impression on the palate that rounds out to a satisfying maltiness with a medium-dry hop finish. At 6.3% ABV it’s hearty but not overwhelming. On tap at all locations!

    Try the IPL, India Pale Lager from Gritty’s in Freeport.
     
    Our head brewer in Freeport, Greg Sansone formulated & brewed this beer using English two-row lager malt, German lager yeast & a combination of Centennial, Cascade, Citra & Lemon Drop hops. This beer has a crisp taste upfront as a result of a six week laagering & finishes with sharp citrus notes from the American hops.

    It’s only 30 Days to St Patrick’s Day!
    On Saturday, Feb 17 at 7pm the Kora Temple Highlanders bagpipers, drummers and singers start the count-down to St Patrick’s Day at Gritty’s Auburn. Plenty of Irish music, food and beer specials. Don’t miss the Jameson’s Whiskey Team that will be there! 50¢ from every pint sold will go to the Kora Temple too. Come hear some Celtic music, have a pint and a shot of Jameson’s IPA Caskmates to begin the count-down to St Patrick’s Day.
