Auburn Brew Pub

Gritty's Auburn Brew Pub Restaurant
Gritty’s Auburn Brew Pub Restaurant

In 2005 Gritty’s opened on the banks of the Androscoggin River in Lewiston/Auburn. Our Auburn brew pub is a warm and welcoming space in the classic Gritty style; long tavern tables, copper bar top and traditional brick work. The spacious deck features the best riverfront views in town, and our glass-enclosed, storefront brewery brings the working of a true pub brewery right to Main Street. And of course, our kitchen serves up the finest in traditional pub fare.
Gritty’s Auburn Brew Pub is a convenient stop on your way to four-season fun in Maine’s mountains and lake regions. We’re very proud to be a part of the revitalized waterfront in this historic community. Real Ale has returned to Central Maine!

  • Please help us pay for surgeries like Penny’s surgery.
The Androscoggin Humane Society is having a Community Pint Night on Thursday, Oct 11 at Gritty’s in Auburn to raise money for pets that need surgery. Just recently, they had to pay for Penny’s surgery. Even though she is just 4 years old, Penny had torn ACLs in both of her rear legs which required surgery. Penny’s surgery cost about $3,500. The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society gets pets like Penny regularly. And when they do, it’s a strain on their finances. Stop by Gritty’s for the 50/50 raffle or buy a pint and 50¢ will go to help Penny.

Don’t miss the chance to win a Banzai Kayak at the Community Pint Night for the Pine Tree Society on Thursday Oct. 18 at Gritty’s in Auburn! They’ll be selling raffle tickets for a Banzai Kayak from Old Town Canoe (winner will be drawn at the end of the night). They’ll also be selling their famous holiday cards. Each year since 1966, the Pine Tree Society has sold holiday cards designed by Maine artists exclusively for Pine Tree Society. All proceeds go to our full range of programs. In 2016 the Pine Tree Society acquired Pathways, Inc, a nonprofit that served individuals with disabilities in Auburn and Lewiston. With the acquisition came a building in desperate need of repairs (589 Minot Avenue). We’re raising funds to complete a renovation to the building that houses the Early Learning Center, a preschool program for children with significant specials needs. This is going to be a fun Community Pint Night, so be sure to stop by. Gritty’s will also be donating 50¢ from very pint we sell during the CPN.

Help End Polio NOW. Join the Auburn/Lewiston Rotary Club at Gritty’s Auburn for our “Pints to End Polio” Community Pint Night Wednesday, Oct 24 at 5:30pm. There will be a 3 piece band playing music and plenty of fun! 50¢ from every pint sold goes to the cause. Have a pint and help end polio.

There is nothing better than a beer and sunshine.
The deck at Gritty’s Auburn is open for the fall, weather permitting. New umbrellas, new menus and small batch beers – nothing better!
