Auburn Brew Pub

WBLM Corner at Auburn Feb 2018 For webA
In 2005 Gritty’s opened on the banks of the Androscoggin River in Lewiston/Auburn. Our Auburn brew pub is a warm and welcoming space in the classic Gritty style; long tavern tables, copper bar top and traditional brick work. The spacious deck features the best riverfront views in town, and our glass-enclosed, storefront brewery brings the working of a true pub brewery right to Main Street. And of course, our kitchen serves up the finest in traditional pub fare.
Gritty’s Auburn Brew Pub is a convenient stop on your way to four-season fun in Maine’s mountains and lake regions. We’re very proud to be a part of the revitalized waterfront in this historic community. Real Ale has returned to Central Maine!

Wake & Bake Cold Coffee Porter is coming to Gritty’s Auburn during February.
This fan favorite is a classic Porter, cold brewed with coffee. Hopped with Warrior, Cluster, WGV and US Goldings, then finished with Maine roasted coffee. It comes in around 5.8% ABV. Nice drink’n, with a coffee kick…
SOS will be on tap for St. Patrick’s Day in all Gritty’s brew pubs. The Special Oatmeal Stout, better known as SOS contains 7 barley malts, torrified and malted wheat, 10% flake oats and is hopped with 3 different varieties of Goldings Hops.  S.O.S. has a smooth, chocolaty flavor with a full body. The ABV is around 6.8%.  SOS is the perfect beer for St. Patrick’s Day and the rest of March. On tap at all pubs.
Because winter still hasn’t lost its grip, Scottish Ale is still pouring in the pubs
! Gritty’s Scottish Ale is our interpretation of the robust brews native to Scotland. Generous quantities of Pale malt along with Munich and Caramalts give this ale a deep and complex profile. A few shades darker than our Bitter, with a rich, slightly sweet first impression on the palate that rounds out to a satisfying maltiness with a medium-dry hop finish. At 6.3% ABV it’s hearty but not overwhelming. On tap at all locations!
A Hoppy Red Ale is going on tap at Gritty’s in Auburn.
Our head brewer in Auburn, Jay, formulated & brewed this beer using roasted Caramalts. He used Centennial hops in the boil then dry-hopped with Amarillo hops. The result is a hoppy red ale with a strong citrus aroma, a hint of sweet malt and a crisp finish.  6% ABV – on tap at Gritty’s Auburn during March.
