Auburn Brew Pub

WBLM Corner at Auburn Feb 2018 For webA
In 2005 Gritty’s opened on the banks of the Androscoggin River in Lewiston/Auburn. Our Auburn brew pub is a warm and welcoming space in the classic Gritty style; long tavern tables, copper bar top and traditional brick work. The spacious deck features the best riverfront views in town, and our glass-enclosed, storefront brewery brings the working of a true pub brewery right to Main Street. And of course, our kitchen serves up the finest in traditional pub fare.
Gritty’s Auburn Brew Pub is a convenient stop on your way to four-season fun in Maine’s mountains and lake regions. We’re very proud to be a part of the revitalized waterfront in this historic community. Real Ale has returned to Central Maine!

American Craft Beer Week is May 14 to the 20! To celebrate all three Gritty’s Brew Pubs are tapping special beers The Blackberry Experiment is on tap now at Gritty’s in Auburn. This brassy golden beauty comes in at 5%ABV. It was brewed with Mosaic and Cascade hops, and then finished with 40 LBS of Maine blackberries. This creates a subtle blackberry undertone to the ale. Next up is a session IPA that will go on tap at the end of May at Gritty’s in Auburn.
Does a bear drink in the woods?
He does if it’s Gritty McDuff’s Vacationland Summer Ale! Vacationland is a full-bodied Extra Special Golden Ale with a deep brassy golden color that ends on a snappy hop finish. We use generous portions of pale malt with just a touch of wheat malt to give VSA that unique flavor that’s richer than most summer brews. A surprisingly robust malt character leads off with hints of caramel, toffee and touch of toasted grain. Then a lemon citrus snap cuts through at mid-palate. Vacationland finishes with a delicate leafy hops flavor from the Cascade leaf hops we use, and all of this makes it the perfect brew for all things summer! VSA will go on tap sometime in April in all the pubs, and comes to 4.8% ABV.
