Please help us pay for surgeries like Penny’s surgery.
The Androscoggin Humane Society is having a Community Pint Night on Thursday, Oct 11 at Gritty’s in Auburn to raise money for pets that need surgery.  Just recently, they had to pay for Penny’s surgery. Even though she is just 4 years old, Penny had torn ACLs in both of her rear legs which required surgery. Penny’s surgery cost about $3,500. The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society gets pets like Penny regularly. And when they do, it’s a strain on their finances. Stop by Gritty’s for the 50/50 raffle or buy a pint and 50¢ will go to help Penny.

Don’t miss the chance to win a Banzai Kayak at the Community Pint Night for the Pine Tree Society on Thursday Oct. 18 at Gritty’s in Auburn! They’ll be selling raffle tickets for a Banzai Kayak from Old Town Canoe (winner will be drawn at the end of the night). They’ll also be selling their famous holiday cards.  Each year since 1966, the Pine Tree Society has sold holiday cards designed by Maine artists exclusively for Pine Tree Society.  All proceeds go to our full range of programs.  In 2016 the Pine Tree Society acquired Pathways, Inc, a nonprofit that served individuals with disabilities in Auburn and Lewiston.  With the acquisition came a building in desperate need of repairs (589 Minot Avenue). We’re raising funds to complete a renovation to the building that houses the Early Learning Center, a preschool program for children with significant specials needs.  This is going to be a fun Community Pint Night, so be sure to stop by.  Gritty’s will also be donating 50¢ from very pint we sell during the CPN. www.pinetreesociety.org
