Gritty's Portland is our home away from home! We love the atmosphere, beer and food but mostly love the staff. We consider them our friends and look forward to seeing them every Sunday. You can't go wrong with Pub Style beer in my opinion and my husband loves trying out the rotating selections too. I have never had a meal that I did not enjoy and love the wings!
Our weekly ritual of meeting friends on Sundays has picked up again and we could not be happier that we can now start getting back to normal.
Thank you Gritty's!

Feels like Portland!
Sit at a communal table, get a black fly stout (closest beer to a honest to goodness Guinness you'll find this side of the pond) and some great bar food. Awesome relaxed atmosphere, one of my favorite places ever!

Lobsters were chunky, thicc, juicy, pretty. Food was decent in portion sizes. Everything was competitive price wise. Staff was very nice. Good tables, seating areas plentiful. The entrance looks classy. Homestead feeling like a cabin.

Greatly appreciated the service, the bartender steered me toward the things the pub did best and trusting them was a great decision. Had some of the best food and beers I've had in Maine. Definitely going back again soon.

Only stopped in for drinks and to take a load off our feet from a full day of walking.... but the beers were great. Nice selection of IPA and other beers, I'm a wheat person and those aren't the easiest to find. So I settled in with a brown ale that did not disappoint. They had some great IPA's for my husband, and even a decent wine list for my mother in law. All in all, great experience and nice location. Atmosphere was very fun and silly. I enjoyed it a lot! Would recommend for drinks to anyone!

stopped here in between 2 tours we had that day in Portland. Food was amazing. Lobster poutine was on point, lobster rolls were awesome but who ever thought of the shepherd's pie egg roll appetizer is a mad genius!!

Last evening my friends and I attended the Portland Art Walk and were looking for a place for drinks and dinner. After experience extreme rudeness at Taco Escobarr on Congress St (read that review under that business name), we came upon Gritty McDuffs. We found a nice place to sit and were waited on by a very nice, friendly young woman. She was patient with our orders and provided excellent service. The smashed burger was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. We will go back to Gritty McDuffs!

One of the first micro brewery restaurants in Portland that put this great city on the map as a foodie and beer hotspot. Highly recommend stopping in and sampling some of the good food and excellent beer that's brewed on location.

Had a great experience at Gritty McDuffs pub in Portland, Maine. It is located on a great Street in a wonderful area downtown. Plenty of places to check out and Gritty McDuffs is a great choice. A nice wood bar with full service as well as several seating options. There are very nice views that look out towards the harbor and an interesting alley behind the pub. The burger and fries are phenomenal and a classic beer selection make this a great option for pub food.

Had a couple of very good beers. The staff was great and very informative of places a couple of tourists from Baltimore might like to visit. Very glad we stopped here for a drink!

Marvelous evening. Great food, fantastic bar tender, live music by a guy Travis and a live ice hockey game on TV. What more could a family visiting from Scotland ask for??!! (And they had real Scottish Ale too!)
