‘TIS THE SEASON FOR CHRISTMAS ALE.

November heralds the return of our holiday seasonal, Christmas Ale. It’s a robust E.S.B. (Extra Special Bitter) full of holiday cheer. It scored 97 by Beer Advocate. Christmas Ale has a lovely, dark red/amber color. The ale has a chocolaty character followed by an earthy hop flavor with a fruity middle-to-end with hints of melon and pear. We brew our Christmas Ale to an original gravity of 1064 (about 6.2% ABV) which gives it a light warming feature.
Monster Mash Monster Mash is so big and scary we only brew it once a year. In a world where beer has lost its way, in a time when beer is under attack from spices, herbs and pumpkins, one beer bravely stand above the rest. Gritty’s “Monster Mash.” This double ESB is on tap for a limited time at Gritty’s in Freeport. Ingredients: Marris Otter Barley, Crystal and Chocolate malts (all from the UK); East Kent Goldings, Whitbread Goldings Variety, Fuggles and US Goldings hops. ABV: 7.3%. Going on tap in Freeport sometime during October. Ask for a “Black and Boo”
You served us, now we’ll serve you. On Veteran’s Day, Sunday, Nov 11th, Veterans, Active Duty, Reserves or Guard Members get a FREE burger, fries and a beer. (Or any other entrée on the menu that is the same price as a burger, fries and a beer.) You don’t have to show ID. The offer is for the Veterans, Active Duty, Reserves or Guard members only.
