"It is with great sadness & a heavy heart that we are announcing that Gritty McDuff’s thirty-year land-lease at our Freeport location expires at the end of this month. This means that we will close our doors for the final time on the last day of November.
It has been an amazing thirty years for us in Freeport! There is no way to properly thank our staff, our patrons, the town of Freeport & the visitors from away who visit us every summer. We could not of done any of this without you!
We cherish the many memories of amazing events hosted at this location & will always be grateful for the folks who helped us run our business over the last three decades. Gritty’s is committed to helping our staff find employment at our other two remaining locations, or at another area restaurant.
We hope that our patrons & our Mug Club will find the time over the next few weeks to stop by the pub to say ‘goodbye’ to us & enjoy one last pint before it’s over.
Please keep an eye on our social media for additional announcements through the next weeks, as we plan to host several events to help celebrate the thirty years of Gritty’s in Freeport."
